What is the definition of terrorism? By your definition can we say George W. Bush is a terrorist?

  1. I think this question is really funny, and really accurate as well. Terrorism means fighting by creating fear/terror. Likewise, I think Bush used the fear that was created on 9/11 to further his own aims. He also promoted that fear with all of his warnings and speeches. So yes, I think Bush does promote a form of terrorism because he tried to terrorize the American people into following his every command.

The War on Terror is an impossible idea because it is a war on an idea, on a feeling. It would be like have a war on sadness or a war on boredom. The only way to win a war on terror is to eliminate fear from a society. What is interesting is that violence occurs when two groups of people are afraid of each other. If we understood one another instead, we would see that there is nothing to fear. We would see that most of the people in the world want to live peaceful happy lives and care for their family.
Bush could have used 911 to promote peace and understanding in the world. Instead he told Americans to be afraid. He created fear. He created terror. He lost the war he said he was fighting.
